listed below. On Location classes are available to schools
or districts with a minimum of 10 participants.

- Two 6 hour sessions (Acquire and Brainstorm) + one 3 hour work session (Create) = 15 hours.

Assignments
- Complete online learning modules; participate in online discussions; create one primary source set; evaluate a primary source-based learning experience.
- Field test a basic primary source based learning activity; Complete a reflection of the field test experience.

Workshop Locations
The Saturday classes will be held on Metro State’s
Auraria campus in downtown Denver, room to be determined. Click

Cost
The TPS-Colorado courses are offered at no charge. Graduate
Credit is available through The University of Colorado and Adams State College at a cost of $80 per credit hour.

Who Should Attend TPS-Colorado Workshops
The program provides professional development for in-service and pre-service teachers; faculty such
as librarians, media specialists and educational support personnel;
and college faculty to access, use, and produce curriculum using
the vast collections of digitized primary source materials from the Library
of Congress.
Why You Should Participate in the
TPS-Colorado Program
The goal of the Teaching with Primary Sources – Colorado project is to develop a professional development network that reaches out to Colorado educators to support the use of Library of Congress primary source-based material in the classroom.
